Anxiety, Stress, Worry & Fear
Do you feel like you can't get "out of your head"? That the stress feels like it will consume you? You find yourself worrying, ruminating, angry, snippy, trying your best to control your life but the stress and anxiety feel constant, unwanted companions, affecting your work, your parenting, your relationships, your peace and happiness?
If any of this sounds familiar, working with a therapist to learn to manage your anxiety may be the right option. We all have anxiety, but when it becomes debilitating, there are very effective methods to learn to manage it. It's one of the best gifts you can give yourself, which could ultimately lead you to a more enjoyable and manageable life.
I specialize in working with clients who experience moderate anxiety to those who have anxiety disorders, with the exception of OCD. I have success and extensive experience working with those experiencing generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, agoraphobia, social anxiety and subclinical levels of anxiety that may not meet the criteria for diagnosis but who are experiencing distress nonetheless.
Working with issues of anxiety, stress, and worry I will:
- Evaluate the type of anxiety you have
- Teach you how anxiety functions and explain how and why it can get out of control
- Teach you to recognize the smallest beginning of your anxiety and learn what to do next
- Explore the myriad of strategies to combat and manage anxiety, tailoring a plan of action to your preferences
- Help you to perfect anxiety management strategies
- And so much more!
We will work through a CBT informed 8-week curriculum that is tailored to your specific needs in order to learn how anxiety uniquely impacts you and how best you should address it to reduce your symptoms.
You don't have to suffer with stress and anxiety. You will find that together we can make real changes in this area that will impact, well, everything in your life. Long-term or acute anxiety can lead to more significant issues. You don't want that to happen.
Invest in yourself; I'd be honored to guide you in the process. You are so worth it!
