Take a look at the following checklist and see how your relationship fairs:
- Do you both agree on the priority level of your relationship?
- Do you feel secure in their relationship and if you feel insecure can you bring it up and get reassurance?
- Do you give each other a quality time each day and feel connected?
- Are your intentions loving or kind and do you extend goodwill to each other most of the time?
- Are you emotionally attuned to each other; you know each other's inner world: thoughts, feelings, desires, fears?
- Do you feel safe to express your emotions?
- Do you have a good balance of separateness and togetherness in the relationship?
- Do you feel safe expressing your opinions when they are different and your partner can tolerate differences of opinion?
- Do you know what’s going on daily in each others lives?
- Can you have respectful discussions and disagreements?
- Do you agree that staying connected is more important than being right or "winning the argument"?
- During sex do you take your time and center your partner's pleasure?
- Do you anticipate your partners needs and feel good about meeting them?
- Do you actively support each other‘s goals and dreams?
- When you and your spouse need the other and reaches out, are you accessible, responsive, and engaged?
